KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for technical review of electric system solutions and electric components cross Business lines including certain Specific Component Categories and act as technical representative for certain suppliers within ESD Division Sourcing & Supply chain.
● Support and review cost down activities together with Sourcing and Division Engineering, R&D
● Conduct Supplier evaluation reviews together with sourcing according to ESD/division request.
● Estimate/budget potential cost down initiatives related to system solutions/components and give
input to sourcing.
● Review and propose synergies between business lines and enable harmonisation of system
solutions and components.
● Support sourcing to solve any delivery, quality or service related problems.
● Assist ESD Quality Control or division engineering by performing FAT, when required.
● Assist with electrical engineering when division engineering is required.
● Support to develop cost saving strategies to achieve desired savings targets within designated component categories/system solutions cross business lines.
● Assist cooperation with sourcing, Engineering, R&D, QC and QA to continuously improve quality,lead time and cost.
● Developing technical relationships with supplier and Division Stakeholder and Category Sourcing.
● Support sourcing in supplier and product development actions including Cost competitiveness
● Detail study electric schematics, component lists and support engineering for continuously/possible improvements with relation to cost competitiveness

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
● Electrician/Electric Design engineer/Service- or Electric engineer with Technical/electric education, B.Sc. or equivalent experiences
● 5+ years of electrical work experiences e.g. engineering, supervision, service/commissioning, in global environment
● Experience in working with global and cross-cultural teams
● Experience with Cost competitiveness implementation
● Relevant marine industry experience preferred
● Fluent in English, both spoken and written
