*Key Responsibilities · Lead engineering actions to win business: - Conceptualise new designs and concepts and lead technical show to customer as required to promote Federal Mogul’s technology to local market; - Participate in the Request for Quote (RFQ) processes by providing technical supports such as material recommendation and preliminary technical review; - Lead pre-selection test, competitive test and benchmarking which leads to business awarded; · Follow APQP process and complete application engineering related action flawlessly; - Acquire and review customer technical inputs (such as drawing, specification, DVP) and escalate risk/concern to project team and/or communicate with customer technically; - Distribute customer technical requirements within project team correctly; - Manage sample building and DVP test at each stage. Analysis test results and summary report to customer with targeting engineering release; - Problem solving actions from engineering stand of point; - Work with manufacturing facility to assure manufacturability of design; - Work with Product Engineers in the design of friction products to meet customer requirements; · General responsibilities: - Work with technical organization to develop a consistent technical vision for the future; - Reinforces the commitment to and participation in the Business Team philosophy. - Indoctrinate the Technical community in the philosophy of Continuous Improvement. - Organize the engineering resources to meet the demands of the marketplace. - Actively participate in achieving corporate and divisional goals and objectives as to quality, cost, profit, return on sales, productivity, and customer service, adherence to budget goals - Have a proficient knowledge of internal and customer systems and how to use them to benefit the business. - Travel as required to support the customer and to support/develop new opportunities. · Other relative tasks as assigned. *Qualifications (Education/ Experience/ Key Competencies)
· Fluent English both in oral and written · Bachelor of mechanical or automotive engineering · Working experience as technical/engineering contact in front of customer is required · Working experience in automotive chassis system is required. Experience in brake system or friction product is highly preferred · Experience in APQP process, Failure Analysis and Validation testing · Have a proficient knowledge of internal and customer systems and how to use them to benefit the business. · Have the ability to perform detailed customer presentations. · Have the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects concurrently. · Have the ability to evaluate the business issues and prioritizes activities. · Working experience in international automotive industry company is preferred · Good communication skill and team work skill
