Job Description:
The Game Testers (aka Functionality/Specialised Testers), are testers who play the game as a whole, usually from the perspective of an end-user. They provide support to the Production team in a more general level.
- They test the game on a broader scale (i.e. Smoke Testing, Full Functionality Testing)
- They execute Test Cases
- They are the last line of defense. They ensure that the end-users will have the best possible experience
Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
Autonomously ensure the success of the tests assigned to you
- Experienced in game testing with a focus on mobile platforms
- Good physical coordination needed - candidates with dance experience or who play rhythm games like Just Dance will have an advantage
- Perform systematic game analysis and testing based on test cases
- Directly support product teams on bug isolating/reproduction/verification
- Ensure the tracking, follow-up, re-testing and regression of bugs
- Knowledgeable in specialized testing areas (i.e. Compliance, Technical Tests, Compatibility...)
Leverage the Game Test toolbox to propose improvements for your project
- Fluent with QC reporting tools (Jira, Test Rail, Confluence, etc...)
- Proficiency in written English and office software applications is required
Identify and mitigate risks
- Able to ensure that blocker and critical issues are processed or worked on by the Devs and resolved appropriately
- Understands the requirements and propose better solutions or improvements to processes
Collaborate constructively with peers and other teams
- Team player with patience and readiness for high-intensity workloads.
- Able to communicate effectively and constructively any issues or topics, not only related to his/her mandate but also to other teams.
- Give visibility on the current state or needs of your current mandate (hardware / resources)
