Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Head of Automotive Vertical to lead our business development and client strategy within the automotive industry. This role is pivotal in driving growth by developing deep industry expertise, crafting tailored value propositions, and working hand-in-hand with our sales team to win and expand business with automotive clients. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in logistics sales or key account management within the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute the strategic business plan for the Automotive vertical.
2. Act as the subject matter expert on automotive supply chain trends, challenges, and opportunities.
3. Work collaboratively with the sales team to identify, qualify, and pursue key target accounts.
4. Lead the development of compelling commercial proposals and pricing strategies to win new business.
5. Partner with operations and solution design teams to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.
6. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at automotive clients.
7. Analyze market intelligence and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
8. Achieve and exceed revenue and profitability targets for the Automotive vertical.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. 8+ years of experience in business development, key account management, or vertical management within the logistics/freight forwarding industry, with a strong focus on the Automotive sector.
3. Proven commercial sense and a demonstrable track record of winning and growing major accounts.
4. Deep understanding of automotive supply chain logistics, including JIT (Just-in-Time), JIS (Just-in-Sequence), and inbound/outbound logistics.
5. Exceptional ability to collaborate with and guide a sales team to achieve common goals.
6. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
7. Experience with TP, Europe, and Mexico trade lanes is highly desirable.
8. Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
