Responsibilities
Leadership
? Guided by the Group strategies, lead the development and strategic direction of AMX to build the College’s reputation in the market and deliver growth.
? Create a vision, sense of purpose and pride in the AMX Team that creates a collaborative and caring culture where all members of staff are valued.
? Advocate for A&M within the community, ensuring staff understand their role as College advocates to drive reputation and protect enrolment.
? Act as main functional point of contact with the China AMX team ensuring achievements from the school are collected and disseminated into the market through digital channels
? The voice of the parent in all key College decisions
? Keep abreast of developments within the technical field of AMX, in particular Chinese digital marketing, customer experience and the use of AI.
? Have a duty of professional care for colleagues, mindful of staff welfare and wellbeing and ensure opportunities for personal growth based on individual needs.
? Lead and plan the AMX calendar
? Manage the AMX budget for the College.
Admissions (with the Head of Admissions):
? Guided by Group strategies, develop the College’s admissions strategy, ensuring College admissions targets are met and new strategies are applied to maximise enrolment.
? Maintain accurate data on College enrolment, to ensure accurate forecasting and projections
? Maintain in depth market knowledge and industry changes in the area and region to ensure agile responses.
? Mastery levels of customer service building the admissions experience based on a parent insight and trends, needs and pain points.
? Be the school’s ambassador building enrolment partnerships and outreach to generate a lead generation pipeline.
? Follow up and convert families that share our values to build the school community.
? Using research and data, analyse market opportunity, segments and deliver competitive intelligence.
? Administer all relevant data including use of Open Apply.
Marketing (with the Head of Marketing and Events):
? Guided by Group strategies, develop the College’s marketing strategy that drives key target audience awareness and affinity.
? Working with the China AMX team, identify and prioritise across a range of offline, online and experiential marketing activities for the local market and support the national digital strategy.
? Based on group direction and admissions inputs, localise marketing campaigns, such that they connect deeply with the target audience. These could include advertising, open houses, enrolment events, publications, video, media buy and sponsorships based on local market insights and parent needs.
? Create local content, written and visual, to celebrate the College achievements and keep the website updated and SEO optimized by maintaining a strong relationship with all departments in the College.
? Brand custodian and owner of marketing services and visual assets, including but not limited to advertising, collaterals, publications, posters and brochures.
? Oversee all design, photography and videography for the school, maintaining visual archive.
? Tracking marketing campaign effectiveness to ensure marketing decisions are based on evidence and measurable results.
Community Experience
? Working closely with the academic heads, oversee parent communication within the school ensuring concise and effective messaging managed through internal channels, such as the parent portal and WeChat groups, to ensure parents are well equipped to support their children
? Oversee community events, such as Founder’s Day, building a sense of belonging within the school, working with local partners as appropriate
? Highly developed intercultural understanding to ensure parents can understand the College’s educational philosophy
? Main point of contact for the parent associated, the Friends of Dulwich, and parent rep groups
? Establish an alumni database, with regular meet ups and an alumni newsletter
Other:
? Work unsociable hours as required, including evening and weekends, as standard for a role of this kind.
? Work with and support the College Leadership Team to maintain the high standards and reputation of the College.
? Contribute to upholding EiM and the College’s corporate identity in all publications, internal literature, letters, etc.
? Any other responsibility, which may be reasonably delegated by the Head of College.
Skills and Experience Required
? Respect for and understanding of Education.
? Educated to at least degree standard in a related discipline.
? Strong experience in A,M or CX with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
? Proven experience in developing an admissions and marketing plan/strategy in line with group direction.
? Proven success of leading a team of admissions and marketing experts.
? Demonstrable experience of leading marketing campaigns and building brand awareness based on a strong set of values.
? Experience in leading a team of digital multi-media content creators
? Experience of conducting insightful market research and developing associated marketing strategies.
? Ability to adapt and work independently, inter-College and as part of project-based teams, as required.
? Experience managing events planning and overseeing execution.
? Experience of managing internal and external stakeholder groups.
? Good understanding of appropriate routes to market for different strategies.
? Understanding of and support for the Group’s mission.
? Project management skills with strong attention to detail.
? Excellent time management and organisational skills.
? Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
? The ability to show cultural sensitivity and a nurturing approach to education.
? A firm but supportive and approachable manner with the ability to lead others.
? Willingness to be flexible and accommodating to the demands of a busy International School.
? Excellent inter-personal skills.
? Excellent communication skills, ideally proficient in Mandarin and English.
