Job Responsibilities: (Specify job responsibilities and workloads %)
1. Manage the new product design & introduction activities locally
a. The individual has a thorough understanding of the product, functions, cost, quality requirements, manufacturing technologies and requirements, change requirements, and documentation.
b. Act as local project leader to manage team for all NPD&I activities from RFQ, prototype, pilot till production transfer, to ensure new product project meet the requirements of quality, cost and schedule.
Manage new product projects by proper planning, follow-up and communications.
Manage new RFQ for project feasibilities assessment and risk analysis, materials sourcing, working time estimation, capital investment and tooling cost estimation, package and transportation design.
Manage prototyping, piloting and production start-up for PDP management, BOM setup, materials price confirmation, materials acquisition, FMEA, manufacturing flow & work instruction, quality planning and inspection, production line layout, equipment & tooling preparation, operator recruitment, production and delivery, etc.
2. Act as the liaison between new product project and operation.
a. Manage the successful transfer of new product project to operation.
b. Ensure Production Readiness for new products with proper capacity of ***, machine, material, method, environment, and measure.
c. Work with quality engineer and manufacturing engineer to solve the issues in production and customer complains.
3. Participate in the management of manufacturing resources planning and acquisition for company development.
4. Control the project progress and maintain the project team; Create the target for the project engineering team and push the target to achieve;
5. System maintenance: include item/BOM/Routing create & changing, system improvement, and cleaning.
