Have a mix skills of a Buyer and Project Engineer to increase our
procurement capability in China for:
  • mechanical components such as axial fans, gear boxes, el motors mainly for wet business but also for dry opportunities out of EU and OEM for the future;
  • equipment such as metal expansion joints, valves for dry business and butterfly valves or rubber joints for wet business
  • skids such as firefighting systems for wet business or vacuum systems for dry business.
In addition this resource in a second phase should
also support Italian buyers for fiberglass products such as pultruded elements, main headers, risers, cladding and fan stacks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Purchase components, equipment, and services in line with customers specifications, incoterms defined and all relevant data input from Eng and Operations Depts.
  • Market monitoring including scouting and intelligence on competitors supply is a master activity to be actuated worldwide to be as much as possible effective in the business.
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts, improved prices, and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.
  • Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers.
  • Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements.
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Energy, Mechanical, Chemical Sciences
  • Basic knowledge of thermo electric plant and its components.
  • Proven purchasing experience, preferably within industrial, power and oil & gas business.
  • Contract management and supplier experience. Contract
  • SAP or similar ERP Skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in English.
