'Overview:
The Product Manager & Sourcing Manager is responsible for expanding Novasol Chemicals reach by bringing in new revenue streams by extending our product portfolio, developing new segments and executing related sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely supply of goods and services.
This role involves identifying market opportunities, find reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and analysing market trends to optimize procurement performance. The Business Development & Sourcing Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Bring new products & new suppliers to the portfolio:
- Issue new product ideas & Check with Management & Business Development Team if business plan is acceptable.
- Bring approved product ideas to the market.
- Benchmark competition portfolios.
- Overview Market shares and tendencies.
- Provide short listed new Products, to communicate information to Product managers and Sales Managers for evaluating potentials, prices and tendencies.
Understand products, supply market, supply sources and customer demand.
- Manage selected products on Asian or Global level till handover according to the maturity of the product.
- Select supply sources and build solid relationships with key product Suppliers.
- Maintain Supply relationships, (Visits/Exhibitions Invitations).
- Secure Sourcing, volumes, contracts.
- Negotiate Supply Payment terms with Payment technics knowledge (like L/C…)
- Solve quality Issues and customers audits.
- Understand market needs in terms of Sustainability, get information from producers, select sources according to Novasol’s requirements
Manage sourcing of existing & new products:
Supplier visits:
- Visit our main producers
- Search & Benchmark new suppliers for existing products (Be a specialist in your market).
- Check the plant of suppliers (can be with related global product managers): plant tour, production, stock, offices, quality department.
- Make Risk analysis of the producers, including ESG topics
- Make visit reports and share with Business team
New items/Suppliers:
- Search for correct producers: Internet search, recommendation from existing suppliers, exhibitions.
- Inquire for Specs, CoA, capacity, prices, certificates.
- Communicate information to related departments (PM, Quality, Sales)
- Visit selected new suppliers
- Make visit reports, risk analysis and share with Business & Quality/Regulatory team
Strategic Product Sourcing for Key Accounts
- Identify and secure sourcing opportunities for high-demand or strategic products to strengthen Novasol Chemicals’ portfolio by single or multiple Market Categories and meet the specific needs of key accounts globally.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Collaborate closely with local Sales Managers & global Product Managers
- Provide regular updates to the Global Business Team Leaders on sourcing progress.
- Manage the process of introduction of new products in full compliance (with Q&R team)
- Coordinating internal handovers once commercial readiness is achieved.

'Essential Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above, major in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
- More than 7 years of work experience in product development, strategic procurement, or supplier management in the chemical industry, particularly in water treatment, food additives, personal care and beauty, and life sciences and pharmaceuticals.
- With specific cases of successfully introducing new products or suppliers into the company portfolio.
Core competencies:
- With mature methods and rich experience in finding, evaluating, and introducing new products and suppliers.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Proficient in establishing, maintaining, and negotiating with key suppliers to ensure competitive terms, stable supply, and reliable quality.
- Market and risk insights: capable of conducting in-depth supplier risk assessments and market benchmarking.
Professional Skills:
- Proficient in the entire procurement process, including supplier sourcing, factory audits, price and capacity negotiations, and resolution of quality issues.
- Familiar with international trade payment methods and INCOTERMS.
- With excellent market research skills, able to explore new supply sources and product opportunities through various channels such as the internet, exhibitions and networks.
- Proficient in English as a daily working language, including listening, speaking, reading and writing. Ability to communicate and work smoothly with international teams.
