Job Description for Thermal Energy Systems EngineerI. Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize thermal energy systems, such as boilers, heat exchangers, and other related equipment;
- Conduct thermal energy system analysis, evaluate system performance (including energy efficiency, operational stability, and safety), and propose targeted improvement suggestions to enhance system performance and reduce energy consumption;
- Be responsible for designing and implementing monitoring and control strategies for thermal energy systems, ensuring real-time tracking of key operating parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, flow rate) and stable, safe system operation;
- Research emerging technologies in the field of thermal energy (such as advanced heat transfer technologies, waste heat recovery technologies), and apply them to existing systems to improve overall efficiency, reliability, and service life of the systems.
II. Job Requirements
- Possess professional knowledge in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g., Thermal Energy and Power Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering), with at least 1 year of work experience in thermal energy system design, development, or operation;
- Understand the basic principles of thermal energy system design, development, and operation, including knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics applicable to thermal systems;
- Be familiar with common design software and tools in the thermal energy field (e.g., AutoCAD for drawing, ANSYS for thermal simulation, EES for energy system analysis), and be able to independently complete related design tasks;
- Have good communication and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (such as production, maintenance, and R&D teams), as well as strong problem-solving abilities to address technical issues in system design and operation;
- Have a CET-4 (College English Test Band 4) certificate or above, with the ability to read English technical documents (e.g., equipment manuals, industry standards) and conduct basic English communication;
- Be willing to work and live in Germany for a long term.
