Serve
as the liaison between technical, service and manufacturing operations
responsible for commercializing and optimizing laboratory developed paint
formulas, to assure efficient and consistent manufacturability of all product
lines. The lead facilitator in the problem solving for customer issues. Key
accountabilities are problem resolution, process standardization, quality
improvement and reduction in out-of-spec batches.

Work closely with technical,
manufacturing and quality control personnel to resolve technical, manufacturing
and testing issues for production batches. Work to improve quality,
consistency, manufacturing efficiencies and testing operations. As issues arise,
facilitating problem owner to do the efforts at root cause analysis, developing
and implementing corrective action, and establishing counter?measures to assure
elimination of future issues.

Communicate
and work with personnel at all levels in the OEM Business Unit. Frequent
communication with field personnel concerning product performance is required.
External customer interaction is frequently required as customer visits.

Work
independently on activities supporting customer teams, departmental and group
accountability objectives. Recognize and pursue the projects providing the
greatest gains in product consistency and productivity. Demonstrate the ability
to creatively resolve and recommend innovative improvements to manufacturing
issues.

Have or gain experience in all product
technologies supplied to the focus customers including waterborne, solvent
borne (basecoat and clear coat) and primer.

Lead problem solving investigation meetings for
customer line issues as participant and carry out all assignments to support
investigation, include: Root Cause Matrix, Process Reviews, Batch following,
Attend team meetings, Manage sample flow.

Follow
production of batches to ensure due dates are met especially for trials &
launches. This includes plant level activities and acting as liason between manufacturing,
service and technical to ensure that all launch milestones are met.

Update PFMEA and Control Plans as the problem
solving procedure, to include:
Identification of Failure mode,
Define Root Cause, Define Countermeasure(s) for prevent a recurrence and
continue to drive improvement on customer quality goals.
