Position Summary: ? Analyze, identify, develop and implement plant efficiency improvements using tools and best practices for optimizing process efficiency in a systematic and standardized way. Drive implementation through collaboration with Cluster Operations teams. ? Provide expert technical support to the APAC business ensure that process automation tools are developed, implemented and maintained to ensure minimum total cost of ownership.
Job Responsibilities: ? Leadership: Identify develop and implement best practices and Process Efficiency tools across APAC to deliver sustainable plant efficiency improvements for Cluster Operations. Drive and/or support cross regional training and competence assessment programs to ensure the technical competence of Process Operations expertise. Identify and drive cost improvement programs with the Cluster Operations teams through development and cascade of effective tools and best practices with alignment of CoE. ? Operations: Standardize and drive continuous improvement programs in plant operations, process efficiency, using best practices through collaboration and alignment with Cluster Operations teams. Support major troubleshooting or unplanned process events as necessary to ensure minimum business impact and provide or co-ordinate support with strategic partners such as CoE, Linde Engineering or OEMs. ? Maintenance: Develop & implement strategies in collaboration with Cluster Operations teams for troubleshooting of process equipment and/or tools. ? Projects / Modifications: Support Cluster Operations to implement best practices and plant efficiency tools on new projects and major improvement initiatives. Support cluster operations in new plant start up and commissioning activities. Support Cluster operations in new project process side reviews and improvements. ? Troubleshooting: Ensure the site teams get adequate expert support in emergency situations. Support the investigation of major process issues and improvement opportunities. Feedback any learnings from major plant performance problems to the respective OEMs. Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA). ? Reporting / performance management: Drive ongoing APAC Programs for improving plant operations, optimizing production and plant efficiency through applying best practices and report on progress monthly. Report implementation status of relevant Productivity initiatives, from Production efficiency across APAC. Drive collaboration between CoE and Cluster Operations and ensure delivery of improvements through development of Cluster Operations teams competencies.
Required Qualifications & Experience: ? Bachelor’s / Master's degree (or equivalent) in Chemical, Process Engineering, or Process Automation. ? 10~12 years in a related process plant operations, engineering or process control role. Plant commissioning and Operations experience is Mandatory. ? Deep understanding of Cryogenic Bulk Gas Production technology – ASU. ? Knowledge of related control systems specifically Siemens PCS7, Allen Bradley Control System. ? Good background in Process Safety with knowledge of hazards involved in operation and maintenance of instrumentation in the ASU / CO2 plants. ? Knowledge of advanced process control systems such as Linear Model Predictive Control (LMPC), Realtime Optimization (RTO), Anti-surge systems and Automatic Start-up (AST). ? Basic Knowledge of non-cryogenic plants including the associated hazards. ? Experience in troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis. ? Capability to do risk assessments and make risk-based decisions. ? Business acumen to quantify and assess financial cost / benefit analysis. ? Air separation plant hands on commissioning experience. ? Understanding of ASU technical standards. Expertise in review of Management of Change for Air Separation Unit. ? Ability to provide functional leadership and collaborate with cross cultural multinational teams. ? Ability to take right decision based on facts under pressure. ? Establish and maintain collaborative authority with contractors/suppliers. ? Ability to influence/convince cross functional teams including superiors. ? Strong problem solving and project management skills. ? Excellent oral & written communication skills in English language to explain and document reasoning for decisions.
