About this opportunity
Product manger Wechat at Align Technology is responsible for owning strategy, roadmap, and execution for our WeChat mini-programs and service accounts. This role is responsible for building seamless digital experiences for customers, providers, partners, and internal stakeholders—leveraging the full WeChat ecosystem (Mini-Programs, Official Accounts, WeCom, Pay, CRM, and API integrations).This role will work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX, Data, Marketing, Infosec, Commercial, and Regional Ops) to deliver high-quality user flows that scale across China and integrate with global and regional systems.
This is a strategic and hands-on PM role ideal for someone who understands China digital ecosystems, user behavior, and product growth loops in WeChat.
This role will be located in Chengdu.
In this role, you will…
? Own the product strategy and roadmap for all WeChat App initiatives (Mini-Programs, Official Account features, WeCom workflows).
? Identify new opportunities to enhance user acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention through WeChat-native capabilities.
? Translate business needs into clear product requirements and measurable success metrics.
? Drive end-to-end product development: requirements → PRD → UX → engineering → launch → iteration.
? Work with partners to integrate WeChat capabilities (WeChat Pay, Login, template messages, QR flows, plugin integrations).
? Ensure seamless data synchronization with backend systems (CRM, CDP, eCommerce, DPMS, ERP, and identity systems).
? Build conversion-optimized user flows using WeChat Mini-Program features (cloud hosting, service market, plug-ins, scanning flows).
? Manage Official Account menu structures, message automations, and customer-journey content.
? Define WeCom journey flows for B2B users, channel partners, and service teams.
? Partner with engineering teams in China & global regions; ensure clarity of requirements and prioritization.
? Collaborate with Marketing and Ops on promotions, funnels, content, and campaign automation.
? Work with Legal, Security, and Compliance to ensure data-privacy alignment with China cybersecurity regulations.
? Use data tools (CDP, BI dashboards, WeChat Analytics) to monitor KPIs and inform iterations.
? Conduct A/B testing, funnel analysis, and customer interviews to identify friction points and optimize flows.
? Track best practices and emerging capabilities in the WeChat ecosystem; proactively propose innovations.
In this role, you’ll need …
? 5–8 years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years managing WeChat mini-programs or Official Account features.
? Strong knowledge of the China digital ecosystem and WeChat’s developer platform
? Demonstrated experience delivering consumer or B2B digital products end-to-end.
? Ability to write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
? Strong analytical skills; experience using data to drive decisions.
? Excellent communication skills in Mandarin; comfortable collaborating with global teams in English.
? Experience in SaaS, healthcare, eCommerce, or digital platform ecosystems.
? Familiarity with identity/authentication flows (WeChat OAuth, mobile login, unionId/OpenId).
? Understanding of China data-privacy requirements (PIPL, CAC, data residency).
? Experience with A/B testing tools and funnel optimization.
? Technical background (engineering, computer science, or similar) is a strong plus.
? Bachelor's/Master degree in a scientific or allied health field (or equivalent degree).
